Class System (Eldrahn Online)
The Class System in Eldrahn Online is a fully dynamic framework of Base Classes, Unique Classes, and Active Class Focus, allowing characters to forge truly personal archetypes through progression and fusion.
1. Base Classes
- Auto-assigned on arrival according to an Outlander’s or native’s background.
- Each Base Class runs a full Level 1–10 progression, with hallmark features at key tiers (commonly Levels 1, 4, 7 and 10).
- Advancement in each Base Class is independent — spend XP/Matrix Points to level up that Class when you gain experience.
2. Unique Classes via Fusion
- Once you hold at least one level in two or more Base Classes, you may fuse them into a bespoke Unique Class.
- Fusion mechanics:
* Consumes all levels and unspent progression in the source Base Classes. * Grants a new Unique Class at Level 1, on its own **1–10** track with its own tiered features. * Example: 3 levels in Arcane Tinkerer + 2 levels in Scholar → fuse into a Level 1 Artificer Unique Class.
3. Re-Learning & Re-Fusing
- Fusion is permanent: the source Classes vanish until you deliberately re-invest levels to rebuild them.
- You can re-learn any lost Base or Unique Class by spending new levels, then fuse again into different hybrids.
- This cycle supports continuous evolution of your character’s identity and abilities.
4. Active Class Focus & Daily Shifts
- Although you know multiple Classes, only one Class’s feature set is active at any moment.
- Up to 4 times per day, you may switch your Active Class to another you’ve learned, instantly gaining that Class’s proficiencies and abilities.
- This empowers tactical shifts—moving between gadgeteer, spell-scholar, warrior modes or any hybrid combination.
5. Lore & History
5.1 Pre-System Traditions
Before the Eidons’ Great Lockdown, practitioners of Etheric arts and martial disciplines learned in loose guilds, monasteries, or secret cabals. There was no formal taxonomy—mages, engineers, rune-warriors, and artisans each developed unique rituals and techniques in isolation. This fractured landscape allowed wild innovation but also rampant misuse: unchecked experiments sometimes ripped holes in the Conjuring Cycle or birthed rogue Echo-Spirits that threatened entire regions.
5.2 The Birth of Base Classes
In the aftermath of the first Eidon councils, magisters and arch-shapers convened to codify common patterns and ensure stability. Drawing from countless treatises, they distilled the myriad paths into atomic Base Classes—each representing a coherent cluster of skills and world-view. The Codex of Eternal Truth was updated with these seven founding archetypes (later expanded to a dozen), giving every newcomer an initial “plug-in” framework that both reflected their past and anchored them in Eldrahn’s new order.
5.3 Fusion & the Rise of Unique Classes
As adepts climbed two or more Base Class ladders, they discovered resonant overlaps—mechanical runes that blended with storm-craft, rune-chanting that enhanced arc-tech devices. Early pioneers realized they could fuse their dual training into singular, more potent disciplines. The first documented fusion was the Artificer of Korendal, who married the Engineer and Rune-Scholar paths to craft living constructs. Word spread that each fusion birthed a one-of-a-kind discipline, and soon Fusion Schools sprang up in Ishtara and Muirglen to teach the art of weaving Base Classes into new forms.
5.4 Institutional Adoption
Seeing Fusion’s stabilizing effect on the Ether, the Eidons enshrined the practice into the System itself: - Every level ≥1 in two Classes unlocked the right to fuse. - Fusion became a rite of passage for advanced adepts, marked by ceremonies where the Codex bore witness. - The System’s Data Weaver monitored each fusion event, recording the birth of every Unique Class so no two copies could ever match exactly.
5.5 Contemporary Practice
Today, Class fusion and daily Active Focus are taught side by side in every Academy of the Conjuring Cycle. Champions of the Conclave boast half-dozen fused disciplines, while wandering Outlanders craft impromptu hybrids on the road. Storytellers regale taverns with tales of rogue adepts who fuse entire cabals’ worth of lore into a single shattered-reality gambit. Meanwhile, archivists in the Great Library of Eidara catalog each Unique Class’s name and lineage—though they admit that by the time a fusion is fully documented, its bearer has often already moved on to a yet higher-order combination. This living, breathing system of Base Classes, Fusion, and Fluid Focus has become the heart of personal expression in Eldrahn—where every adventurer’s path is both a reflection of their past and a roadmap to undiscovered potential.
