Ether Burn is a painful affliction that occurs when someone's Ether Channels are ripped open by force. In humanoids, this manifests as a body-wide burning sensation as the Ether seeps into the very core of them and intermingles with their soul, mind, and Will. New nerves connect instantly, adding to the pain even more rapidly. This burning sensation feels like it is concentrated in the blood vessels and veins within the body for humanoid creatures. All sentient creatures can experience this condition if forced to use the Ether without experience or tutelage. Ether Burn is very mild for creatures and species with inherent abilities to use the Ether, such as Fae, Eldarii, and Iarnalfarii. Humans are known to be particularly susceptible to Ether Burn.
