Character Creation (Eldrahn Online)

The following outlines the unified process for bringing both native Eldrahnians and Outlander arrivals into *The System* via the Etheric Matrix. It details step-by-step allocation of Attributes, Skills, Titles, and Classes from first concept through Level 0 (natives) or Arrival Level 1–5 (Outlanders).

1. Character Lineages

  • Native Eldrahnians
 – Born within the Conjuring Cycle; begin at Level 0 with full point-buy pools.  
  • Outlanders
 – Breach into Eldrahn from other realms; arrive at a predetermined Level 1–5 package based on their prior experience.

2. Creation Steps

2.1 Native Eldrahnian (Level 0)

  1. Allocate **25 points** among six Mortal Attributes.
  2. Allocate **10 points** among six Etheric Attributes.
  3. Spend **15 Skill ranks** under any Mortal or Etheric Attributes.
  4. Record **3 empty Title slots**.
  5. Choose a **Name**, **Homeland**, and brief **Background**.
  6. At **Level 1**, select your **Class** to gain +1 Title slot and Class features.

2.2 Outlander Arrival (Level 1–5)

  1. The System assigns an **Arrival Level N** (1 ≤ N ≤ 5).
  2. Grant the **base package** (25 Mortal, 10 Etheric, 15 Skills, 3 slots) + **5×(N–1) Matrix Points**, all **pre-spent** by Background.
  3. Record **2 base Title slots** (–1 slot vs. natives) plus Class slot at Level 1; +1 more at Level 5 milestone.
  4. At **Level 1**, choose an **Origin Class** (e.g. Aeromancer, Arcane Tinkerer) to gain +1 Title slot and its level-1 features.
  5. From **Level 2+**, advance like a native (see § 4).

3. Allocation Details

3.1 Mortal Attributes (0–10)

Brawn, Agility, Vigor, Lore, Will, Presence — total **25** points at Level 0.

3.2 Etheric Attributes (0–10)

Awareness, Flux, Conduction, Resonance, Communion, Equilibrium — total **10** points at Level 0.

3.3 Skills

Each Skill ranks under one parent Attribute.

  • Cost: 1 Attribute point → 1 Skill rank.
  • Natives: start with **15 ranks**.
  • Outlanders: base 15 + pre-spent Matrix Points into Skills.

3.4 Titles & Title Slots

  • Base Slots: 3 (Natives) or 2 (Outlanders) at creation.
  • Class Slot: +1 at Level 1.
  • Milestone Slots: +1 at Levels 5, 9, 13…
  • Bound Titles: Occupy a slot until Conditions are met.
  • Non-Bound Titles: Grant a passive bonus and one **Etheric Boon** per downtime.

4. Post-Creation Progression

From Level 1 onward (Outlanders already at ≥1; natives begin advancing at 1):

  1. Gain 5 Matrix Points per level to spend on:
 – +1 Mortal Attribute (cap 10)  
 – +1 Etheric Attribute (cap 10)  
 – +1 Skill rank  
  1. Unlock +1 Title slot at milestone levels (5, 9, 13…).
  2. Choose new Class features or multiclass after Level 2.
  3. Outlanders and natives share identical mechanics for checks, Muddy Skills, and Ether Burn.
